Privacy, in plain English.

Ledgerly is built to teach you about money without needing to know about yours. This page explains what that means in practice.

Your money data stays on your phone

Anything you tell Ledgerly about your money is kept on your device. It is never uploaded, synced or sold, and Ledgerly never asks for a bank login.

Your learning can follow you

You can learn as a guest with no account at all. If you create a free profile, your learning progress backs up to it so it follows you to a new phone: lessons, streak, XP, mastery, badges, Pennies and Penny's wardrobe.

A profile needs you to be 13 or over, in line with UK rules. Signing out clears your progress from that phone; it is still on your profile when you sign back in.

Leagues use a private handle

On a league board, everyone appears under a private handle, never their real name. Under-18s never share a board with adults.

No third-party analytics

Ledgerly does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers to watch what you do.

This website

This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies: every font, image and script is served from here.

The waiting list

If you join the waiting list on this site, we keep your first name, your email address, and when you agreed to hear from us, along with the words you agreed to: "I'm 13 or over and I'd like Ledgerly to email me about the launch."

We use them only to email you about Ledgerly's launch. The first email asks you to confirm the address is yours, and if you don't, we won't email you about the launch.

Our email provider sends these emails on our behalf, and your details are stored with our database provider in the EU (Ireland).

Every email we send you has a link to remove yourself from the list, which deletes your details straight away.

The full privacy policy, published on this page before Ledgerly launches, will cover the waiting list too.
